President Sanjay Verma writes to CM to provide funds to Rupnagar Municipal Council

Municipal Council Rupnagar President Sanjay Verma Bele Wale has written a letter to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for providing funds for development works in the town.
Apart from this, he has also written letters to the Principal Secretary, Local Government Department, Punjab, along with the Minister of Local Government, Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar and Sub Divisional Magistrate Rupnagar and has also sent an email to the Chief Minister in this regard.
Sanjay Verma said that roads, streets, drains etc. are required to be constructed in different wards of the municipal council. Due to the increase in the area of the Municipal Council, applications are being received for street lighting and sanitation in the newly incorporated area, but due to the lack of funds, the Municipal Council is facing difficulties in providing basic facilities to the residents of the town.
Sanjay Verma said that the municipal council Rupnagar’s bills of street light and disposal treatment plant of about Rs 7 crores are pending. Due to the poor financial condition of the Municipal Council, these bills were not deposited. Therefore, looking at the financial condition of the municipal council, it is requested that the electricity bill be waived off. The arrest bills of the 6th pay commission of the Municipal Council employees are pending and it is necessary to provide water facility in the newly added areas as such chief minister has been requested to provide funds to the municipal council.
