Private schools in Patiala ‘give two hoots’ to Punjab govt orders

Private schools in Patiala are famous for defying state government, district administration orders. They give two hoots to any official orders.

On Monday, May 20,2024, Punjab government has ordered the closure of all government, private, aided schools in Punjab from May 21 to June 30,2024 due to the inclement weather conditions.

As per available information, some private reputed schools in Patiala have called their teaching staff to school from 7:00 am till 12:30 pm- 1:00 pm from May 21, 2024 onwards till May 31,2024 to hold online classes from schools. But one reputed school has called its teachers upto May 25,2024

Earlier, the government on May 19,2024 had ordered the change of school timings from Monday, May 20,2024 from 7:00 am-12:00 noon.

According to government orders no institution should be functional after 12:00 noon. Still, some reputed schools in the city are openly defying orders and on Monday a reputed school in Patiala asked teachers to stay back till 1:40 pm and another at 12:30 pm.

Meanwhile no official comments of any school principal can be taken due to odd hour constraints.

As per the government orders all teaching staff and non teaching staff of government schools, who are on election duty, will do their duty accordingly.
