Protesting Ministerial Services Unions get call from Punjab CM for meeting; CMO issues directions to DCs, SSPs

Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann has convened a meeting with protesting ministerial services union members of Punjab, regarding their demands.
The meeting is going to be held on December 18,2023 at 12:30 pm at Punjab Bhawan Chandigarh,
As per available information, Himanshu Jain, additional PS to CM has asked all the deputy commissioners, senior superintendents of police to appoint nodal officers to facilitate the union members in attending the above said meeting.
More than 50,000 members of Punjab ministerial services union (PSMSU) have been on strike since November 8,2023 pressing for their demands, including implementation of old pension scheme (OPS), release of pending installments of dearness allowance (DA) and making it on a par with the central government, and others.
