PRTC launches Mobile App for ticket booking,reservation

Pepsu Road Transport Corporation has launched a Pepsu Online Android Application for an on line ticket booking of PRTC buses. KK Sharma, PRTC Chairman said the PRTC has launched this service for its commuters. Now anybody can reserve his seat or book his ticket for all PRTC AC buses. Sharma added that the corporation started this service on the demand raised by PRTC commuters.
Manjit Singh Narang, Managing Director, Pepsu Road Transport Corporation said that anybody having a smart phone can download the App from Google Play Store and install in his phone. He further said that PRTC has already a dedicated website pepsuonline.com for online booking and this will also be available for the commuters.
KK Sharma Chairman PRTC said that with the help of HDFC Bank Cluster Head Vice President Raman Arora, Regional Head Deputy Vice President (Government Business) Amardeep Singh an IT Cell was established and the payment would be put directly in the corporation’s account.. This IT cell is proving very helpful for PRTC and its commuters.
With this Pepsu Online App in a single click, a person sitting in any corner of the state or out of Punjab can book the ticket. This move will bring the public utility on a par with private bus services that are using online bookings for the convenience of passengers and ensure hassle free bookings.
This will bring the entire online booking system in the hands of the corporation and save the commission that was paid to companies for the bookings. Earlier for Volvo, HVAC buses of the PRTC running across Punjab and other states, and their bookings were done through busindia.com and traveljourney.com, but the corporation has now developed its own software in order to ensure that the passengers can book the tickets directly from the PRTC.
