PSPCL made covid vaccination compulsory for its employees

Punjab state power corporation limited (PSPCL) has made covid vaccination compulsory for its employees.
In an official communication by chief engineer HRD, to all the HoD’s of the powercom, has directed them to ask all the employee who are above 45 years of age, to get covid vaccinated at the earliest and inform the medical officer of PSPCL.
At present, only citizens who are above 60 and those over 45 with other illnesses are allowed to get vaccination. A meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided to vastly widen its reach to cover much more of the population. Those 45 and above can start registering for vaccination from April 1.
As per the central government guidelines, “Government of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) based on the recommendation of NEGVAC has expanded the prioritized age group to include all persons aged 45 years and above for COVID-19 vaccination from April 1, 2021. Accordingly, there will be no need for a co-morbidity certificate for people aged 45 to 59 years from April 1, 2021,”
PSPCL made covid vaccination compulsory for its employees. The cut-off date for persons aged 45 years and above are those persons born before January 1, 1977.
Rajesh Bhushan, secretary Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has further instructed all the additional chief secretaries, health secretaries of the states and UTs to undertake necessary measures for expansion of the COVID-19 vaccination drive to include beneficiaries above 45 and above.
