PSPCL to improve industrial feeders in Ludhiana-DPS Grewal

PSPCL Director Distribution Er. DPS Grewal said that PSPCL had approved a detailed project report worth Rs 25 crore towards the improvement of industrial feeders under East and West Circle Ludhiana. Work for the same would commence from the second week of December 2020 and is scheduled to complete before the next paddy season. He also assured that there is no shortage of material in the central stores. This was stated by Er. DPS Grewal while addressing a meeting with Industrialists here today .
In order to redressal the various issues of Industrialists of the Ludhiana Er. DPS Grewal, Director Distribution PSPCL took meetings with various industry associations including Bahadur K Road led by Tarun Jain Bawa, Arc and Industrial Association presided by KK Garg, and Focal Point Association presided by Rajneesh Ahuja and OP Bassi. Various issues were discussed in the meeting which includes the requirement of improvements in the cat-2 industrial feeders. During these discussions Er. Grewal also reviewed the power situation in Khanna circle, especially the high revenue division Mandi Gobindgarh. He instructed SE Khanna and senior xen Mandi Gobindgarh to prepare the DPRs of cat-2 industrial feeders that were in bad shape, and submit by next week.
He offered encouraging words to all the officers to foster a sense of collectiveness and belongingness in the organization and encouraged the officers to develop a strong work culture. Er. DPS Grewal also highlighted the importance of the valuable relationship between the industry and PSPCL since industry contributes the highest to the department’s revenue, emphasizing the fact that it was the department’s duty and responsibility to give high quality and uninterrupted power supply to the end consumers.
Er. DPS Grewal also visited Ludhiana city and reviewed the power situation with the local distribution officers, P&M wing and industrial associations. He reviewed the maintenance schedule of grid sub-stations, 66KV line and 11KV feeders.
He instructed the SEs and Xens to complete the maintenance of 11KV feeders by December 15.2020 and asked to ensure the coordination with P&M wing for planned shut-downs. Further more, the planned shut-downs should not be longer than 5 hours and the consumers should be duly notified about these shut-downs. The meeting was attended by Er. Joshan (CE P&M), Er. Sanjeev Prabhakar (Dy/CE West Circle), Er. HS Gill (Dy/CE East Circle), Er. KS Sandhu (SE P&M Ludhiana), Er. HS Dhillon (Dy/CE Khanna Circle), Er. Sarabjit Singh (SE Suburban Circle) and Sr. XENs of various divisions Er. JS Garcha, Er. Tiwana, Er. Parminder Singh, Er. Ramesh Kaushal, Er. MP Singh and Er. BS Sidhu.
