PSPCL’s key department goes headless after directors’ term ends; CMD already officiating

Er Ravinder Singh Saini retires as director commercial, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) after his term ended today
Yesterday Er DIPS Grewal , director distribution of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) had retired after successive extensions given by the state government.
All three Er Harjit Singh, Er DIPS Grewal, Er Ravinder Singh Saini are top contenders for the post of CMD, PSPCL. The post of CMD fall vacant after the extended terms of Baldev Singh Sran ended this month. Later the state government gave the charge of CMD to secretary power Ajoy Kumar Sinha. Now, the state government has not given further extension to both the directors.
Interestingly the state government has not given the charge of key departments of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) director distribution and director commercial to anyone. The same has been confirmed by a senior powercom official on the condition of anonymity. Both the key wings of the powercom namely distribution and commercial goes headless.
Now only director generation Harjit Singh remains a technical person to run the powercom. He only has the charge of generation wing.
The CMD and director finance, administration are non technical heads.

Now, the powercom has an officiating CMD- Ajoy Kumar Sinha, IAS. Director generation Harjit Singh, director finance Surinder Beri are regular board members. The director administration Jasbir Singh is a political appointee.
The state government has already invited the applications for the CMD, director distribution, commercial, finance and HR. But till date no one is appointed on these key posts.
