PSPCL’s move against power theft bore fruits; Rs 16.02 lacs fine collected from Faridkot circle

Punjab State Power Corporation Limited is achieving great success in massive campaign against the menace of theft of electricity in the state. As per the directions of PSPCL CMD A.Venu Prasad & Director Distribution Er. DIPS Grewal, different teams of Enforcement and Distribution has launched an aggressive campaign against the theft of electricity in the state.
Er.Jasvir Singh Bhullar Deputy Chief Engineer Distribution circle faridkot of PSPCL disclosed that on 7th August different distribution teams of Faridkot circle has checked the premises of 475 consumers of different categories , 66 cases of theft and 50 cases of unauthorized load were detected .A total of 16.02 lakh fine was charged to these consumers. FIR’s are being lodged against the persons making theft of energy.

A spokesman of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited has appealed to all its consumers to help PSPCL in controlling the menace of theft of electricity by providing information about theft of power for campaign against theft of electricity in the state.
