Punjab Congress firebrand MLA arrested by Punjab police in drugs case

In an early morning action of Punjab police, they arrested congress party firebrand MLA Bholath Sukhpal Singh Khaira from his sector 5, Chandigarh residence. Jalalabad police team led by DSP Achhru Ram Sharma reached Khaira’s house and arrested him.
As per initial reports, Khaira is arrested by Jalalabad Police in an old 2015 NDPS (drugs) case. The police have taken him to Jalalabad.
An angry Khaira, his son Mehtab Khaira questioned the early morning Punjab police action and alleged highhandedness by the state government. He said in a facebook live that he was being arrested to settle political scores, though his summons were quashed by the supreme court in this NDPS case
