Punjab Director Health Services issues diktat to Civil Surgeons on minister’s order

Punjab director health and family welfare has issue an official orders to all the civil surgeons of Punjab to discontinue the use of bouquets and plastic bottles in the official events, as the health and family welfare & medical education and research minister, Punjab has desired the same.
As per Dr Gurinder Bir Singh, director health and family welfare Punjab “the health and family welfare & medical education and research minister, Punjab Dr Vijay Singla has desired that the use of packed water in plastic bottles should be discouraged in the official functions/ events of health department. He further added that the minister also desired that no bouquet etc. should be presented to health minister or other dignitaries during such events.”
Director health further added that “this step is being taken to reduce the plastic waste, pollution and to safeguard the public health.”
