Punjab government reinstates Naib- Tehsildars suspended by CM Mann, issues posting orders

Punjab government has reinstated the suspended naib- tehsildars and issued posting orders of reinstated 8 naib tehsildars.
Those who are reinstated and today given posting orders are Amarpreet Singh, Ramesh Dhingra, Hamesh Kumar, Ranjit Singh Khaira, Sukhwinder Singh, Jagtar Singh , Bhim Sen, Balwinder Singh.
As per available information, the other suspended revenue department officers were reinstated earlier.
On March 4,2025 the State government had issued a suspension orders of 8 tehsildars and 6 naib tehsildars working under the revenue department.
In March, the revenue officers had announced strike. The chief minister Bhagwant Mann had issued a stern warning to protesting revenue officials to not to go on strike. But, taking stern action after the warning, the Punjab government suspended 14 tehsildars and naib tehsildars, including Punjab Revenue Officers’ Association chief Lachman Singh Randhawa, with immediate effect for not performing their official duty.
The orders for their suspension and reinstatement are issued by additional chief secretary-cum-financial commissioner, revenue, Anurag Verma.
