Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria pays obeisance at Mata Shri Kali Devi Temple in Patiala

Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria paid obeisance at the historic Mata Shri Kali Devi Temple in Patiala. On this occasion, he prayed at the feet of the Goddess for peace and development in Punjab and also wished for the welfare of all.
The Governor said that he felt fortunate to visit for the first time at this magnificent temple in Patiala and have the opportunity to pay obeisance to Mata Kali Devi.
Governor Kataria said that Mata Kali Devi is known as the destroyer of evil, and every devotee who visits the temple prays to the Goddess to bless them with wisdom and a righteous mind so that they can serve society and the people. He said that when people work with sincerity and wisdom, not only individuals but the entire nation prospers and remains happy. He added that the destruction of deceit and wrongdoing is also the power of the Goddess, and therefore devotees believe in bowing at the feet of Mata Kali Devi.

Governor Gulab Chand Kataria said that the temple has been designed in such a way that it has become a centre of faith for people from all walks of life. On this occasion, members of the Temple Advisory Managing Committee, CA Ajay Alipuria and Sanjay Singla, honoured the Governor and informed him about the ongoing renovation projects worth around ₹75 crore at the historic Mata Shri Kali Devi Temple.
The Governor said that once the ongoing renovation works of this centre of faith are completed, the grand temple in Patiala will become a major place of pilgrimage not only for Punjab but for devotees from across the country.
Earlier, on his arrival in Patiala, the Governor was welcomed by Mayor Kundan Gogia, Deputy Commissioner Varjeet Walia, SSP Varun Sharma and Municipal Corporation Commissioner Paramjit Singh.
