Punjab govt asked DC’s to ensure OPDs in hospitals, AYUSH hospitals to be functional

In an order issued by Punjab’s Additional chief secretary (Home), to all the deputy commissioner’s, zonal inspector general of police, commissioners of police, ssp’s on April,6,2020 with a heading” OPDs in government and private hospitals including AYUSH hospitals, asked the deputy commissioners to hold meetings with civil surgeons, IMA and others and ensure that OPDs in all the hospitals in both the cities and rural areas including AYUSH hospitals and dispensaries are functional.

The government has taken this step after the reports of the closure of private hospital OPD’s . The government has already exempted the doctors, medical services, private hospitals from the ongoing curfew and requested them from time to time to open their hospitals, OPDs.

So, the Punjab government has taken this step and asked the deputy commissioners to look into it and made the private hospitals, OPDs functional
