Punjab government has extended the term of PSTCL Director Technical Yogesh Tandon for another two months.

Punjab State Electricity Board Engineer Association (PSEBEA) has already raised a serious issue of “Ad-hocism” going on in the state power sector, causing delay in key decision making. The association has written a letter to the chief minister Punjab Bhagwant Mann to look into this all important issue in a timely manner.

“The ad-hocism is creating uncertainty in power sector affecting the efficiency of Punjab state power corporation limited (PSPCL) and Punjab state transmission corporation limited (PSTCL) as the important posts of directors distribution, director commercial , director administration in PSPCL and director technical and director administration in PSTCL , member Punjab state electricity regulatory commission (PSERC), chief electrical inspector (CEI) are not filled. Even the state has lost its claim on the member power in Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB), happens first time in six decades” said Er Ajay Pal Singh Atwal, general secretary, PSEBEA.
