Now end of VIP culture in Punjab jails; no inmate will get VIP treatment in jails-CM

“Punjab govt is going to abolish the VIP culture in jails. Now onwards there will be no VIP inmate in jails. All inmates will be inmates only. All facilities given to VIP inmates will be withdrawn. There will be no VIP rooms, VIP portions in jails now. These VIP rooms, VIP portions will be converted into administrative offices for jail staff. If any officer is found giving VIP treatment to any inmate, will be held accountable” said chief minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann.
Now end of VIP culture in Punjab jails; no inmate will get VIP treatment in jails-CM. He also informed that a massive search drive was launched in Punjab jails. During this drive total 710 mobile phones were recovered from jails. Now FIR will be lodged against the inmates from whom these mobile phones were recovered.
Mann further elaborated that the government is also lodging FIRs against the persons who own these mobile numbers, on whose names connection is given.
