Punjab police stops, cancels all kinds of leaves of all its GOs, NGOs, and EPOs

In an urgent message flashed by the office of director general of police (DGP) Punjab police to all the heads of the police offices of Punjab, the leaves of all the gazette officers (GOs), non gazette officers (NGOs) and EPOs has been cancelled till April14,2023.
Even the heads are asked to not to sanction any fresh leave of any kind till Aprill 14,2023.
As per the AIG, Personnel -1 message to all the heads of police “ regarding stoppage of leaves. No leaves may please be sanctioned to GOs, NGOs and EPOs till April 14,2023. All kinds of leaves sanctioned previously stand cancelled forthwith. This is being issued with the directions of DGP, Punjab.’
As per available information, the Punjab police’s this move is a result of Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh’s request to the Sikh community to attend ‘Baisakhi samagam’ from April 12 to April 15 at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib.
There are nearly 80,000 personnel in the Punjab Police.
