Punjab pollution control board head office building goes solar

Punjab Pollution Control Board has making a step forward towards renewable source of energy by installation of roof top Solar panel with the consultation of Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) at its various office buildings in the State of Punjab and total aggregate capacity 183 kWp solar panel have been installed at various office buildings.
On December 12, 2024 , Prof. (Dr.) Adarsh Pal Vig, Chairman, PPCB and Er. G.S. Majithia, Member Secretary, PPCB, has taken a round solar power plant of capacity 60kWP installed at Head Office Building of the Board at Patiala. During the round, Er. Lavneet Kumar, Chief Environmental Engineer (Patiala); Amrik Singh, Senior Law Officer; Er. Sandeep Kaur, Environmental Engineer; Janak Raj, Scientific Officer (Air) and other Officers were also present.
Chairman, Punjab Pollution Control Board has emphasized over the installation of Solar Panel being renewable source of energy in commercial as well as in domestic use.
