The third evening of the Patiala Heritage Festival-2025 was a grand celebration at the open courtyard of the Durbar Hall in Qila Mubarak. Organized by the district administration in collaboration with the Department of Tourism and Culture, the “Rang Punjab De” Fashion Show showcased a spectacular fusion of Punjabi heritage, fashion, and music.
The festival was inaugurated by DIG Mandeep Singh Sidhu, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav, and renowned Punjabi actor Binnu Dhillon, who lit the ceremonial lamp using the sacred flame burning for over 260 years at Baba Ala Singh’s shrine in Qila Mubarak. The event was hosted by Satinder Satti, a well-known anchor, artist, poet, and singer, alongside ADC (G) Isha Singal and Madam Kanchan, among other dignitaries.
Ethnic Walk Fashion Show Highlights Punjabi Attire
The Ethnic Walk Fashion Show, led by Satinder Satti, featured a modern take on traditional Punjabi clothing. Renowned designers Eli and Kim presented a contemporary yet culturally rich collection, blending Patiala royalty with modern fashion trends. Around two dozen models displayed Punjabi heritage through traditional attire with a contemporary touch.

The show featured salwar suits, lehengas, shararas, gararas, and Anarkali outfits for women, and sherwanis, kurtas, and traditional Afreen-style footwear for men.

The unique blend of heritage, fashion, and music elevated the Patiala Heritage Festival to new heights. Satinder Satti’s poetic tribute to Punjabi heritage and history created an emotional atmosphere, captivating the audience. Renowned singer Jasmin Akhtar added to the magic with her soulful renditions of folk songs and ghazals, making the evening truly unforgettable.
Punjab Government’s Commitment to Cultural Revival
Mayor Kundan Gogia emphasized the Punjab Government’s commitment under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to reviving Punjab’s rich cultural heritage. He expressed confidence that such festivals would help showcase Punjabi culture on a global stage.
On the occasion C.A. Patiala Development Authority Manisha Rana, ADC (G) Isha Singal, SDM Samana Tarsem Chand, Assistant Commissioner (G) Richa Goel, and many distinguished personalities were present.
