Punjabi University Model School annual Athletic Meet opens with full fanfare

47th Athletic Meet and Annual Prize Distribution Function of Senior Secondary Model School, Punjabi University, Patiala opened with full fanfare here today. It is a two day affair in which students will participate in 72 track events and 15 field events. The meet was inaugurated by Director Sports Dr. Ajita and Director MMTTC Dr. Raman Maini. Senior Medical Officer Dr. Regina Maini and Chief Security Officer , Captain Gurtej Singh were the guests of honour.
School in-charge Satvir Singh Gill welcomed the guests. The Chief Guests unfurled the flag which was followed with an oath taking ceremony. Then Director Sports Dr. Ajita declared the athletic meet open. Dr Raman Maini appreciated the efforts made by the Principal sir and his team for the upliftment of the school in all spheres.
Capt Gurtej congratulated the school family for the event.
Dr Regina Maini encouraged the students that nothing is impossible if our aim is clear and our efforts are honest and persistent.
Students attired in colourful uniforms of their respective houses presented a march past. The visiting dignitaries expressed great happiness in seeing the enthusiasm among students for sports. Along with academics, the message was given to the students to participate in extra-curricular activities also.
The students, teachers , the staff of the School and the parents of the students attended the event.
