Punjabi University, Patiala signed an MoU with Army War College, Mhow

Punjabi University, Patiala signed a Memorandum of Understanding  (MoU) today on July  2, 2021 with   Army War College, Mhow(MP). The agreement has been finalized by the Department of Defence and Strategic Studies, Punjabi University.

Punjabi University, Patiala signed an MoU with Army War College, Mhow. During a brief online ceremony conducted here  to formalize the agreement, Lieutenant General of Army War College Mhou  VS Sreenivas and the Directing Staff, Higher Command Wing, Brigadier Parvinder Singh joined this  program for signing the agreement. Dr. Arvind, Vice Chancellor,  Punjabi University, Patiala and Dr. Umrao Singh, Head of the Department of Defence and Strategic Studies signed the MoU on behalf of Punjabi University Patiala.

Dean Academic Affairs Punjabi University Patiala Dr. Balbir Singh Sandhu delivered the  welcome speech and talked about the importance of this agreement.  Vice Chancellor Dr. Arvind while talking about  the importance of signing of this  agreement lauded the contribution made by the Department of Defence and Strategic Studies in this regard. Dr. Umrao  Singh told that their  Department in partnership with Army War College Mhow (MP) would run Post Graduate Diploma Course in Security and Strategy under this mutual agreement.

He said that the purpose of this course would be to create a theoretical understanding on security and war policy. Commandant Lieutenant General V. S.  Sreenivas talked about the format of the agreement and the relevant course.  He said that this course would be divided into two semesters and  officers of at least Colonel rank would be eligible for this post graduate course.
