The FM radio station ‘Radio Mirchi’ brought a burst of entertainment and talent to Govt. Bikram College of Commerce in Patiala with its vibrant audition event ‘Mirchi Freshers’and celebration of Teachers’Day under the able guidance of Principal Prof. (Dr.) KusumLata on 5th September. The college campus was abuzz with energy as students showcased their diverse skills in singing, playing musical instruments, mimicry, and beat boxing. The college Principal welcomed event head Shubham Sharma and his team in the college premises. She thanked them for providing the students with this opportunity to showcase their talent by saying that this initiative aligns perfectly with our commitment to fostering creative talents among our students and encouraged everyone to participate and make the most of this wonderful opportunity.
The auditions featured a kaleidoscope of performances that left the audience thoroughly impressed. The singing auditions were a highlight of the event. Students from various disciplines took to the stage, demonstrating their passion and expertise across a wide range of genres and styles.
Radio Mirchi team presented tokens to the teachers as a mark of respect to the nation builders. ‘Shan-E-Bikram’ Principal Prof. (Dr.)Kusum Lata cut the cake in the presence of students and teachers in cake cutting ceremony. She lauded the efforts of the teachers for taking the college to newer heights.
The event coordinator, Dr. Reetu Kapoor, highlighted that the event was a testament to the vibrant cultural and artistic spirit for the holistic development of the students. Dr. Rekha Rani, Incharge IQAC, noted that Radio Mirchi’s presence added an exciting dimension to the auditions, providing a platform for students to gain exposure and connect with a wider audience.

Dr. Harsimran Kaur thanked the Radio Mirchi team for visiting the college campus, as the auditions not only highlighted individual skills but also fostered a sense of community and collaboration among the participants.Dr. Rajni Bala, Dr. Nancy, Dr. Harsimran, Asst. Prof. Ritika Asst. Prof. Ramanpreet, and Dr. Savita also participated with great zeal in the event. The entire staff was also present on this occasion.
