Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring campaigned in support of party candidate Karanbir Singh Burj for the Tarn Taran Assembly by-election, addressing a public gathering in Ward No. 3.
While addressing the rally, Warring said that during the Congress government’s tenure, the old-age pension was increased from Rs 500 to Rs1500, women were given free bus travel, and the Shagun amount for the marriage of daughters from poor families was raised from Rs16,000 to Rs 51,000. However, despite promising to provide Rs 1,000 per month to women, even after four years in power, the Aam Aadmi Party government has failed to fulfill this commitment.
Taking a dig at the AAP candidate, Warring said that the Aam Aadmi Party couldn’t even find a common candidate and had to field someone from the Akali Dal. He urged voters to question the AAP candidate about their unfulfilled promises when they come seeking votes. He also expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.

Warring further slammed the BJP over rising inflation and shrinking job opportunities.
Earlier, he appreciated the ongoing campaign efforts led by senior party leaders Ravinder Dalvi (Secretary, AICC), Sukhdev Singh Boondi (Ward In-charge), former Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, former MLA Tarlochan Singh Soondh, former Chairman of Punjab Large Industrial Development Board Pawan Dewan, former Planning Board Chairman SBS Nagar Satveer Singh Palli Jhikki, Kasturi Lal Mintu , and Sarta sharma .
