Ravneet Kaur takes another challenging post; joins as VC Punjabi University

Ravneet Kaur, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary –cum-Financial Commissioner, Forest and Wild Life took over as Vice Chancellor, Punjabi University, Patiala here today on Friday . All senior officers of the University greeted her on this occasion.
Ravneet Kaur is an IAS of 1988 batch and has a wide experience of administration as she has been holding various key positions in different departments. She holds an MA in Economics and a M.Sc. in Public Economic Management from University of Birmingham, UK.
She is known to take challenges in bureaucracy field. She became the first women when she was appointed as full time Chairperson and Managing Director (C&MD) of India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), in 2018.
After assuming office, she held a special meeting with senior officials of the university in which discussions were held for the better management of the university. She gathered information about the latest status of university admissions and other important aspects during the meeting.
