Rayat Bahra Patiala campus organized Sarpanch Meet 2019

Rayat-Bahra Group of Institutions, Patiala Campus invited the Sarpanches from all the nearby villages in which more than 50 Sarpanches participated. The purpose to meet the Sarpanches was to let them know about the various International Programs, Skill Development Programs and Scholarship Schemes and other facilities available at Rayat Bahra Group of Institutes, Patiala Campus and also made them aware about the careers in various branches of degree or diploma courses. In the meeting Campus Director Dr. Piush Verma, Dr. Sandeep Kaura, MD Rayat-Bahra Group, Principal Management Prof. Neena Bansal, Dr. D.K. Singla, Principal Bahra College of Law, Prof. Chander Shekhar Principal Bahra Polytechnic College, Prof. Harbans Singh from Bahra College of Pharmaceutical Sciences were present and participated actively in the meet.
Campus Director, Dr. Piush Verma elaborated about various International Programs, Skill Development Programs scholarship schemes and concessions available to meritorious, deserving and deprived students to help them aim for higher education. Scholarships available are, 50% Tuition fee waiver to single girl child born to her parents, 50% Tuition fee waiver to child whose father is not alive, 100% Tuition fee waiver for students whose both parents are unfortunately not alive, 25% Tuition fee waiver to siblings studying in Rayat Bahra Group, 25% Tuition fee waiver for Neighboring Development Scheme for the industry employees and their wards in various courses. During the academic year 2018-2019, scholarships worth Rs. 9.5 Crore were awarded to the students. Upon asking by a Sarpanch about the SC/ST scholarship, Dr. Verma said “ Rayat-Bahra Group is still helping those students by giving them a concession of 50% of the tuition fee to the post Metric students. This scholarship is given to not only the SC/ST students but the economically weaker and meritorious students as well”.
Dr. Sandeep Kaura, MD of Rayat-Bahra Group has mentioned that nearby villages for the uplift of the educational as well as overall development of the young generation of the area. A 24 hour ambulance service available to all the nearby villages.
Principal Management, Neena Bansal narrated the importance of various courses available at Patiala Campus after passing 10th and 10+2 or graduation in any stream and their applicability in the job market. The different courses which are available at Rayat Bahra Patiala Campus are, B. Tech, M. Tech, BCA, MCA, LAW (5 Yrs), B. Pharmacy and Polytechnic.
