Record of 291 villages is now online in district-DC Srinivasan

The land record of 291 villages in Bathinda district is now available online and anyone can access to their respective land records by visiting the official website of Punjab Government www.plrs.org.in.
Divulging this in a press release, Bathinda Deputy Commissioner B.Srinivasan said that government’s initiative to provide land record to the public proved very beneficial as now people need not to stand in long queues or wait long for their documents.
Srinivasan said that the data of 291 villages in the district has been successfully uploaded online and now the process of uploading the remaining data of Bathinda city area too will be uploaded soon.
He said that so far 15084 beneficiaries have availed the benefit of this scheme by obtaining land related records in 9 Farad Kendras of district. He pointed out that the revenue of Rs 21.50 lakhs has been generated in the form of fees collected in lieu of the record provided to public.
Deputy Commissioner said that the owners of their respective land have managed to obtain their documents from these Farad Kendras within 10 to 15 minutes. It is not only economical, as one can obtain their documents by paying a sum of Rs 20 per page, a lot of time of the public also saved.
Sharing more details about the progress of Farad Kendras in the district, the ASM (Assistant System Manager) Sandhya said that 2549 beneficiaries were given 21854 pages during the month of April in the Farad Kendra of Bathinda, similarly in Rampura 2509 beneficiaries were given 14,971 pages, 2226 beneficiaries were given 16957 pages in Talwandi Sabo, 965 beneficiaries were given 5269 pages in Bhagta Bhaika, 951 beneficiaries were given 5930 pages in Sangat Mandi, 2146 beneficiaries were given 11970 pages in Nathana, 1114 beneficiaries were given 10017 pages in Goniana Mandi, 1239 beneficiaries were given 9403 pages in Balianwali and 1385 persons were given 11151 pages in Maur Mandi.
