Red Cross Patiala along with IAAT organized National conference on Neuro rehabilitation

Indian Association of Assistive Technologists organized its second National at Chandigarh. Anila Bhendiya, Cabinet Minister Deptt. of Social Security & Development of Women & Children, Chhattisgarh was the Chief Guest.
In her inaugural speech she appreciates the efforts made by Indian association of Assistive Technologists. In key note address Dr. A.K Mukherjee, Director General, Indian Spinal Injury Centre, New Delhi, emphasis on role of assistive technology in neuro rehabilitation. Dr. Ravinder Singh of ICMR, New Delhi delivered a lecture on sustainable development & growth in assistive technology.
In the two days conference more than 40 exhibitors showcased their products related to disability rehabilitation. President Mukesh Doshi, said hat disability crosses its primitive boundary lines and reaches to every individual irrespective of caste & creed in its own form of both physical & intellectual. He further added that main aim of Indian Association of Assistive Technologists is to bridge the gap among rehab professionals.
In two days National Conference more than 30 scientific papers have been presented by experts in disability rehabilitation. Speaking on the occasion Pritpal Singh Sidhu Organizing Secretary said that such National conference is being organized first time in Indian history in the northern region. He further added that since last one year Red Cross Patiala was working hard to make this conference grand success.
On concluding day Dr. Himagshu Das, Director National Institute for Empowerment of Person with Disabilities, Chennai participated as Chief Guest in valedictory function. He appreciate the efforts made by Indian Red Cross Society Patiala and IAAT to have such national level Conference
