Reinstated IAS officer joins key posting

Gurpreet Singh Khaira, IAS of 2009 batch has joined as director, state transport, Punjab.
He is welcomed by the staff and officers of state transport department.
Khaira has replaced Amandeep Kaur, IAS of 2015 batch.
Gurpreet Singh Khaira IAS (2009) was Director, Rural Development & Panchayats and ex-officio Special Secretary, Department of Rural Development & Panchayats and Mission Director, Mahatma Gandhi Sarbat Vikas Yojna (MGSVY) when he was placed under suspension in August 2023 for dissolving panchayats before their actual term come to an end.
After waiting for months he was reinstated and gets posting order of director, state transport, Punjab.
