Retd IAS retained as Advisor to PM Modi

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved extension in tenure of Amit Khare, lAS (Retd.) (JH:1985) as Advisor to Prime Minister, in the rank and scale of Secretary to Government of India on contract basis beyond 12.10.2023 for a period, coterminus with the term of Prime Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Khare was appointed advisor to PM Narendra Modi on 12 October 2021 and is currently serving as the advisor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Former bureaucrat Amit Khare gets extension as advisor to PM Modi
Ex-bureaucrat Amit Khare, a 1985-batch IAS officer of the Jharkhand cadre, had superannuated on September 30, 2021.
