RIMT Uni students to participate in Student Leadership Camp at Bangkok- Dr Chawla

The Students of RIMT University, Punjab will participate in   THE ASIA COOPERATION DIALOGUE (ACD) STUDENT LEADERSHIP CAMP TOPIC “SDG Student Camp” during August 05-11, 2019 to be held at Siam University, Bangkok, Thailand .Siam University’s Student Leadership Program 2019 offers students, the opportunity to undertake a challenging extra-curricular program for a period of seven days. The theme of the camp is SDG Student camp, centered around the “Next Generation Leader in a Sustainable environment”. The students will get an opportunity to enhance their personal growth in comprehensive surroundings and how student leadership can impact global challenges and change. Talks and discussions will be conducted to cover topics such as: Knowledge of Sustainable Development Goals, innovative skills, entrepreneurship, peace, career, cultural diversity, intercultural communication, and key difficulties in global societies. This program will provide different extra-curricular activities to engage students in student leadership assignments and provide an avenue to explore Thai culture. Activities will include an introduction to the creativity contest, entrepreneurial engagement, undertaking, group presentation, and sightseeing. The program will offer students an opportunity to present their performance.

It is pertinent to mention that RIMT University is the partner university of UN-ACD (University Network) in which more than 12 nations from Asia are associated with each other for collaborative education and research activities. Elaborating on the linkages, Dr A. S. Chawla, Vice Chancellor mentioned that “ RIMT University has already signed MOU with partner countries for student exchange and the facility of credit transfer. In the coming year students of selected discipline will have the option and opportunities to explore education in partner countries that includes, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, South Korea and 7 others”.
