Rotary Club Rupnagar distributed 13 cycles to girl students of 5 schools

In continuation to its society centric projects, Rotary Club Rupnagar today distributed 13 lady cycles worth Rs 51 thousands to the girl students of six local schools. On request from Rotary Club Rupnagar, Principals recommended names of the students who were meritorious& needy for cycles. Chief guest of this function was Baba Satnam Singh Ji bhaniarawaley, who contributed thirty-one thousand for this noble cause from his organization.
In a short but impressive function organized at GMN senior secondary school Ropar, cycles were handed over to the students in the presence of their school teachers. Eminent Surgeon, Social activist & Past Rotary District Governor Dr R S Parmar extended his warm welcome on behalf of club to the chief guest. Past Rotary District Governor Chetan Aggarwal recognized the services being done by baba Ji for society & request more joint projects with Rotary club Rupnagar.
Assistant Governor of Zone 5 Dr Bhim Sain also appreciated the efforts of Rotary Club Rupnagar & termed it as wonderful project for the school students. Club President Rotarian Kulwant Singh in his address extended sincere thanks to baba ji for his contribution towards this noble project. Director Youth Service Rotarian Gagan saini told that it was her dream project for needy students, which is implemented today.
Beneficiary students were Khushbu, Lakshmi & Priya Kumari from GMN SS School, Vishakha, Raushni & Rajinder Kaur from GSSS School (Girls) Ropar, Jasleen Kaur, Jaspreet Kaur & Ramandip Kaur from Khalsa SS School Ropar, Shreya Yadav, Jivika & Vishakha from DAV Public SSS, Ropar & Gurleen Kaur from GHS Bhaliaan Distt. Ropar.
Speaking on the occasion, Baba Satnam Singh Ji appreciated the social projects being done by this club for the area & request for more projects like blood donation camp, health checkup camps & career guidance seminars for the schools in association with his organization in the area for which he assured his full support. He requested the club leadership to associate in his project of tree plantation for the Nurpur Bedi area. Programe was moderated by past president of club Dr JK Sharma.
