Rotary Club Rupnagar organises three community projects on the first day of Rotary Year 2023 -24

On the start of new rotary year with the theme – Creating Hope For The World, the president of Rotary Club Rupnagar Dr Namrata Parmar & her team organised three projects in the Rupnagar city.

The first project was celebrating the Annapurna day by providing food to the 210 poor people residing as slum dwellers on the banks of River satluj near IIT Ropar. The smile on the faces of these childrens & their parents was not hidden on the faces. Members distributed the food to these people in a dignified way & people of the area apprecited the efforts of Rotary Club & requested the President for more such community based projects in their area.

The second project was three tree plantation drives in which 55 saplings planted infront of the DC Office area. Triveni which is combination of three plants was also planted to save the environment. Club President Dr Namrata Parmar & Secretary Dr Antdeep Kaur told that they have planned to plant 300 plants in the month of July under which the village dakala adopted by Rotart rupnagar & the Miyawaaki project in the premises of Gurudwara Shri Tibbi sahib are included.

The third project was celebrations of Doctors day & Chartered Accountant day in which Doctors & CA of the area were honoured for their services being extended to the society.

All the three projects were inaugurated by Notable social servant & Past District Governors of Rotary District 3080 Dr R S Parmar & Rotarioan Chetan Aggarwal. Dr Parmar advised the new rotary club leadership to focus their projects on community based requirements in which health, primary education & clean drinking water should be the priority. Director Community Projects & Past President Rotarian Dr Bhim Sain told that they have planned more than 150 community projects in this rotary year. Past President of rotary rupnagar Dr BPS Parmar apprecited the efforts of new leadership & assured best support from Indian Medical Association in organising community based health projects in the city & area.
