Rs 200 crore bogus billing, huge unaccounted cash in crores, fleet of luxury vehicles amongst other seized in IT raid in Punjab

Last week the Income Tax department’s Investigation wing had raided the “Tiwana Group of Industries” , having its main offices in Fatehgarh Sahib district.

The group is into mustard oil, animal feed, cattle feed manufacturing business having its plants in various parts of India. The law enforcement agency had raided the residence at Sirhind in Fatehgarh Sahib district. The team also searched the plants of Tiwana Group at Khararui, Roorkiee on Patiala-Sirhind Road in Fatehgarh Sahib in Punjab, Nawesa in Maharashtra, Kalyangarh in Ahemadabad, Dewas in MP, Mahua Khera Ganj in Rudrapur (Uttrakhand). The IT department is also raiding the premises of its associate’s premises at Rajpura, Khanna, Charkhi Dadri, Narnaul.

During the raid, Income Tax officials found the bogus sale, purchase amounted to be more than Rs 200 crore.

The tax sleuths has found huge unaccounted cash in crores, fleet of luxury cars including high end, top models of Mercedes, Royal Royce amongst others.

Rs 200 crore bogus billing, huge unaccounted cash in crores, fleet of luxury vehicles amongst other seized in IT raid in Punjab. The tax officials have also found large number of property documents showing that they have invested in real estate business also. The tax department has seized the lockers.
The raiding team has also found the incriminating documents from associates of Tiwana Group, Inderpal Singh Bagga, running business in the name of Bagga Vet at Rajpura. A huge amount of cash in crores is also recovered from the business entities of Tiwana Group

“We will check the lockers in coming days and at present the seized documents are currently under investigation” said an investigating officer, on the condition of anonymity.
