Rupnagar police solve blind murder case; Patiala man arrested for the crime

Rupnagar Police claimed to have solved a case of blind murder within 72 hours ,which took place near Gaushala Road, Rupnagar a few days back.
Addressing a press conference, Rupnagar SSP Vivek Sheel Soni said that the district police received information on September 8 that the dead body of an unknown person was lying near Gaushala Road Rupnagar. The police reached the spot and identified the victim as Dwarka Das alias Davinder son of Husan Chand resident of Adarsh Nagar, Rupnagar. Deceased was missing after 9 pm on the night of September 7. In connection with which a case under section 302, 34 of IPC was registered at Police Station City, Rupnagar.
SSP said that he had reached the spot and formed various police teams under the leadership of SP Navneet Singh Mahal, DSP (Investigation) Manveer Singh Bajwa, DSP Rupnagar Tarlochan Singh,,CIA staff in-charge inspector Satnam Singh and Rupnagar city S.H.O Pawan kumar. to trace the murder case.
He said that the special police teams investigated various aspects using scientific and technical methods and after the investigation, the involvement of three persons in the murder has come to light. In which, the main accused Sunil Kumar of village Shampura presently residing in Patiala and his son Shivam were arrested.
He said that during interrogation, the accused have confessed their crime. During the preliminary investigation, it has come to light that the deceased and the accused Sunil Kumar used to work in the same shop at DCM Cloth House Rupnagar and Sunil Kumar was felt jealous of the deceased for about 2 years as deceased had showcased his very false reputation in shop matters.and he shared this issue with his son Shivam and (nephew who is a minor). After which they plotted to kill Dwarka Das alias Davinder and carried out the murder.
