Rupnagar SDM conducts raid against illegal minning, tipper and poclain machine seized

On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav, SDM Rupnagar Harbans Singh conducted a raid at village Rampur and caught one poclain machine and tipper doing illegal mining.
Giving information about this, the SDM said that the district administration is conducting a special campaign against illegal mining, under which action is being taken against the culprits on a large scale. He said that Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav today reached at ‘Jan Suvidha Camp’ in village Rampur where she was listening to the complaints of panchayats and villagers during which a villager told about illegal mining in the area of village. After which the Deputy Commissioner personally visited the area.
SDM Harbans Singh further said that on the directives of the Deputy Commissioner, a raid was conducted with the team of SDO Mining Shyam Verma to check illegal mining in the area, during which a poclain machine and a tipper were caught doing illegally mining at village Rampur.
He said that the police have registered a case against the accused and seized a poclain machine and a tipper. The case is being investigated further.
On this occasion, JE Rakshit Chaudhary, JE Yatin Shivalik and employees from Mining Department were also present.
