‘Saiyaara’-Movie Review-Sazia Jindal

Saiyaara, released in theatres on 18th July is a mix of romance and drama mainly. The movie is directed by Mohit Suri. The movie’s actor is Ahaan Panday, nephew of Chunky Pandey and the actress is Aneet Padda.

Overall, the movie is a blend of romance, emotions and drama. Movie lives in a poetic, emotional world.

It starts with Vaani (Aneet Padda), she is shown as a heartbroken girl. She is shown as a simple, gentle girl as well. Her character holds a secret which creates a twist in the movie. She has done wonderful acting. It doesn’t seem like it is her first film because of her great acting.

Krish (Ahaan Panday) is shown as a struggling singer trying to get fame in music industry. He is shown as an egoistic person in the beginning scenes. The two inexperienced leads have done great work.

The film’s music was composed by a team including Faheem Abdullah, Tanishk Bagchi, Vishal Mishra, etc. The movie sounded like a true love story. It is nearly of 2 hours and 36 minutes. It moved slow in the first half making it boring in the beginning but in the second half it became interesting.

The basic love story and chemistry in between them was great but felt familiar. In between the twist was unpredictable to the audience, despite a familiar storyline. The film is emotionally resonant. But the flow in the movie was not that smooth like it jumped from emotional scenes to performance scenes quite quickly. Side characters were not explored well. The love story was great but is not practical in real life.

If someone is attracted towards emotional, dreamy, dramatic world then they must watch it but if someone is more inclined towards realistic, practical world then they may not like it.
