Sarpanches meet organised at Rayat Bahra Patiala campus

The Rayat-Bahra, Patiala Campus organised a sarpanches meet where there were serious deliberations on issues like primary school education and its impact.

The sarpanches were all praise for the teachers extending a helping hand in matter of career guidance to the students from the villages.They thanked Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chairman of Rayat-Bahra Group of Institutions, for starting Rayat-Bahra International School which was the dire need of the area for providing quality education at affordable fee. They expressed optimism that this school would go a long way in shaping the career of the youth of the area as they would now have an opportunity to get quality education closed home.

Gurvinder Singh Bahra reiterated his commitment to the sarpanches that the Rayat-Bahra Group would continue to promote the cause of education besides continuing its social welfare activities for the people of this area. He said that the Group had already initiated a string of welfare projects.

The sarpanches lauded the role of the Rayat-Bahra Group in organizing social welfare active/ty camps in villages in the vicinity of the Rayat-Bahra, Patiala Campus. They also expressed their gratitude to the the Rayat-Bahra Group for making available a 24-hour Ambulance facility which was a great help to the villagers during their emergency needs.

Campus Director Dr Piush Verma welcomed the sarpanches, Anganwari workers and expressed in detail the objective of organizing the Sarpanch Meet.

Around 110 sarpanches and Anganwari workers of from different villages of Patiala and Sangrur districts including Gajju Majra, Sadarpur, Sainsarwal, Majri, Bhedpura, Galwatti, Dhingi, Shekhupura, Channo, Fatehpur, Sultanpur, Barsat, Banera Kalan, Banera Khurud, Bhanara, Dharonki, Kheri Mallan, Balwera, Mandaur  attended the meeting and participated actively in the deliberations.

Director/Principals of Engineering, Law, Pharmacy, and Diploma colleges, Director, Admin Sukhdev Singh Mahal, Er Chandershekhar, HOD Mechanical, Er. Amrinder Waraich, HOD Civil, Shrikant Sharma, Marketing Officer, and faculty members were also present in the meeting.
