Energy Conservation Day was celebrated on December 20,2023 at School of Eminence (Girls) Jandiala Guru
Minister of Public Works and Power Harbhajan Singh ETO graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Skits, speeches and drawing/painting competitions were held on the energy conservation theme. In this event children were encouraged to save electricity and prevent misuse of electricity.
Power Minister informed that that by making the necessary savings in PSPCL power purchase and taking appropriate decisions, the corporation has been was brought to a profit of Rs. 564 Crores from annual losses amounting to more than Rs. 1800 Crores.
The minister urged people to use electricity judiciously. He also assured that Powercom will surely meet the target of electricity generation from renewable energy in the coming period before the deadline.
Power Minister appreciated the paintings prepared by the children while giving away prizes and certificates to the winners and participants. The skit presented by students on electricity saving was applauded by one and all.

Lakhwinder Singh JE, Er. Satbir Singh JE and all the staff were present.
