Seminar on employment opportunities at world University
Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib’s Department of Biotechnology organised a national seminar on the theme “Employment Beyond Education- Career Opportunities in Biotech and Life sciences”.
Vice Chancellor of the University Dr. Sukhdarshan Singh Khehra gave the inaugural address of the seminar. Addressing the gathering of students and academicians, Dr. Khehra said that the Biotechnology is one of the emerging fields of technology along with nanotechnology and food technology and students have immense growth prospects in this field. He congratulated the department on organising the seminar and said that the University is committed to provide best possible facilities to the students.
Earlier in the day, Head of the department of Biotechnology, Prof. C. Rajesh welcomed the guests and threw light on the theme of the seminar. He added that experts from the field of Biotechnology were invited as guest speakers to interact with the students. In the end, Dr. Pushpendra Kumar, Assistant Professor from the Department presented the vote of thanks.
