The Youth Club and Red Cross Society of Khalsa College, Patiala organised a Seminar on ‘Vigilance Awareness’ in order to sensitize the students towards their social responsibility.
Dr. Dharminder Singh Ubha, Principal Khalsa College, Patiala welcomed all the eminent guests and hailed the effort of the Youth Club and the Red Cross Society in taking the initiative to invite Pritipal Singh , S.P. Vigilance Bureau, Amarjit Singh Ghumman, S.P. Traffic & Security, Omesh Kumar, Chief Manager, State Bank of India and Dr. Kuldeep Singh, eminent writer, as the speakers of the seminar to celebrate Vigilance Awareness Week” at Khalsa College, Patiala. Dr. Ubha emphasized that such interactive lectures prove to be beneficial in spreading awareness among the students and in orienting the students to become vigilant citizens striving to promote economic growth in the country, to promote integrity, transparency and accountability in public life and to eliminate corruption from our society.
Pritipal Singh, SP, Vigilance Bureau, Punjab emphasized that the students are the major stakeholders in the rebuilding of the society and they should actively participate in creating a corruption free society. He shared with the students that the evil of corruption can be fought through fixing accountability and bringing transparency in the system.
Amarjit Singh Ghuman educated the students about the corruption related practices and the ways of reporting such mal practices. He emphasized the need to imbibe good values in life which will help in eliminating all the evils from our society. The moral fabric of the society should be strengthened.
An eminent writer, Dr. Kuldeep Singh reiterated the necessity of building the ethical character of our society. He said that the moral stature of the citizens will help to eradicate corruption as well as all the social evils from our society. Dr. Rouble Brar, presented the vote of thanks.
