Senior AAP leader gets bail from Apex Court

The Supreme Court on Friday granted bail for six weeks to jailed senior aam aadmi party (AAP) leader Satyendar Jain on medical grounds.
Former Delhi govt minister Satyendar Jain was admitted in ICU on Thursday after falling in the jail’s washroom. Jain was later shifted to the ICU ward of city’s LNJP Hospital where he has been put on oxygen support.
This was the second time in a week that Satyender Jain had to be taken to a hospital for medical attention. On Monday, he was examined at Safdarjung Hospital for a spinal injury that he had sustained earlier from another fall in the jail’s bathroom, according to sources.
The AAP leader has been in Tihar jail since his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a money laundering case in May last year.
