SGPC and SAD making sincere efforts for the release of sikh prisoners: Dhami

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Harjinder Singh Dhami said that the SGPC and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)are making sincere efforts for the release of sikh prisoners .
Dhami held a meeting with SGPC members of Rupnagar and Mohali district to prepare the framework for the release of sikh prisoners .
During the meeting Dhami said that the governments should tell whether they consider sikhs as first class citizens or second class citizens.
He said that sikhs have made the biggest contribution in getting freedom of the country and it is not right to ignore this contribution.
He said that the struggle for the release of sikh prisoners will be continued in a democratic manner.
He said that the arrested accused of assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and other prisoners were released, but the sikh prisoners,who have served more than 33 years of sentences, are not being released.
He said that at present the governments are trying to break the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and Shromani Akali Dal and in Haryana also the Khattar government is trying to destroy the Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and Shromani Akali Dal. But the Akali leaders of Haryana ,who had left the party,will come back again.
Dhami also said that a 100-room serai would be constructed at Gurdwara Bhatta Sahib Rupnagar.
