Shahkot Bye election announced,voting on May 28
Chandigarh– Election commission of India today announced bye election schedule for Shahkot Vidhan Sabha constituency.
Disclosing this here a spokesperson of office of Chief electoral officer Punjab said that notification will be issued in this regard on May 3, 2018 and last date of submission of nomination Papers will be May 10, 2018.
He further said that scrutiny of papers will be done on May 11,2018 and last for the withdrawal of the nomination Papers is May 14, 2018.
Spokesperson said polling will be held on May 28, 2018 and counting of votes and result will be declared on May 31, 2018.
He said with the announcement of bye election for Shahkot Vidhan Sabha constituency model code of conduct is enforced in Jalandhar district with immediate effect.
