Sharma raises question on Balbir Singh’s false statement to close toll plazas in the state

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidate from Patiala Lok Sabha constituency NK Sharma has asked AAP candidate and Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh not to try to blackmail people in the name of closing of Toll Plazas and said that if they had authority they should immediately close toll plazas on all the National Highways in the state.
Reacting to statement of Dr. Balbir Singh on the issue, in a statement released here today, NK Sharma said that he was surprised that Dr. Balbir Singh is claiming that if all the 13 candidates of AAP will win they will close all the toll plazas on National Highways.
He said that reality is that toll plazas on National Highways are under Central Government and NHAI have signed agreements to run these toll plazas. He said that these toll plazas can be closed only then their agreements will expire.
NK Sharma said that all the toll plazas closed on State Highways as claimed by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann have been closed when their terms were expired. He said that if Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his minister Dr. Balbir Singh have any authority they should close that toll plazas which have still authority to run.

He said that Dr. Balbir Singh was claiming that after victory he will get toll plazas closed was only a tactic to blackmail voters and nothing to do with welfare of people. He asked him why not he gets these toll plazas closed to seek votes ?
He said that reality was Dr. Balbir Singh and his CM Bhagwant Mann had lied to people in 2022 with tall and false promises and were now trying to do the same but Punjabis are now aware of their plans will teach them a lifetime lesson during these polls.
