Sigh of relief for Punjab police?  Gangster takes responsibility for killing most wanted gangster

One of the most wanted gangster Harvinder Singh Rinda who has prize money of Rs 10 lacs on his head, was found dead in Pakistan due to ‘drug overdose’, as per the sources. Whereas the Davinder Bhambiha gangster group is claiming responsibility for Rinda’s death, alleging that he turned against its members.

As per available information, Harvinder Singh Rinda died in Pakistan while allegedly being treated for a kidney ailment in a hospital. As per sources Rinda was admitted to a private hospital in Pakistan’s Lahore on Monday following a kidney problem.

Rinda’s death has brought sigh of relief for Punjab police as he was one of the most wanted gangster. Rinda was involved in several criminal incidents like drug trafficking, extortion, murder, murderous attack etc. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had announced a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh for information on gangster Harvinder Singh Rinda.

Sigh of relief for Punjab police? Gangster takes responsibility for killing most wanted gangster . Officials said Rinda had recently parted ways with another most wanted terrorist Wadhawa Singh, also operating from Pakistan. Sources also reveal that Rinda was backed by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency which supported him in carrying out anti-India activities.

As per his crime profile, Rinda was about 35 years old and had migrated to Nanded from Sarhali village, Tarn Taran district, many years ago. He was also involved and wanted in many cases by the police forces of Maharashtra, Chandigarh, Haryana, West Bengal, etc., besides large-scale cross-border smuggling of drugs/weapons. NIA has classified him as a major threat to the national security.The  National Investigation Agency (NIA) announced a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh for information on gangster Harvinder Singh Rinda.

His involvement is also came to fore in Karnal Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and ammunition recovery case.
