Son of Barnala’s Sessions Judge secures AILET’s 5th rank only candidate from Punjab to clinch seat

Agam Aggarwal secured All India Rank-5 with 83.5 marks in the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) conducted by the National Law University (NLU) Delhi. Agam is the son of district and sessions judge Barnala, Virinder Aggarwal. NLU Delhi was founded in 2008 and was ranked second best Law College in India by NIRF Rankings 2019.

It is pertinent to mention that Agam is the only candidate from Punjab to clinch the seat for admission to 5 year BA LLB programme 2019-2020 in NLU Delhi on basis of AILET exam.

AILET was held on May 5, 2019 and as per first merit list, only 73 candidates are being offered admission out of total 18,583 candidates from all over India.

Agam Aggarwal dedicated his success to his parents and teachers and said that he had worked very hard to achieve this goal. He added that his father is his role model as he always encouraged me to work hard.

“I am very happy as I am getting admission in one of the reputed institutions of India. It will also fulfill my dream to become a lawyer in Supreme Court,” Agam said.

Anu Aggarwal, Agam’s mother, said that it was a proud moment for their family when they get the information about his result. She added that Agam was working very hard from his childhood and never took any tuition classes.

“He secured around 96 percent marks in 10+2 without any coaching classes. With the help of self studies and self concentration, our child achieved the success,” Agam’s mother said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Barnala Tej Partap Singh Phoolka, other judicial and administrative officials also congratulated Agam and family for the achievement.
