Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University releases the Prospectus for the Academic Session 2023-24

The prospectus for the academic session 2023-24 was released at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib , Punjab by Pro-Chancellor Professor Ajaib Singh Brar and Vice Chancellor Professor Pritpal Singh. Expressing delight over the new benchmark being set in the field of academic, research and cooperative activities within the University, Professor Brar appreciated the hard work of the University officials and teaching and non-teaching staff. Describing education as the biggest boon, he said that this University is disseminating knowledge to the backward and needy students without any discrimination, as per the ideals laid down by the Gurus.
On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Prit Pal Singh said that in the new academic session, the University will run twenty-five departments under eleven different faculties for diploma, undergraduate, masters and PhD programs. He added that about seventy courses have been offered. Mentioning the salient points of the prospectus, he said that the University has kept several important scholarships for merit-based students in various disciplines of religion, languages, science, technology, health and social sciences. Besides this, under Sri Guru Granth Sahib Scholarship, scholarship are given to needy students without any condition of category.

Dean Academic Affairs of the University Professor Sukhwinder Singh Billing said that the registration and admission for the new academic session has started in the University. He said that the World University is making steady progress in terms of academics and research standards. He said that the aim of the University is to create a disciplined and innovative environment for the students. He further informed that the National Education Policy 2020 is being implemented by the University in the ensuing academic session, the main point of which is to provide employment-oriented education to the youth. On this occasion, Dr. Sumit Kumar, Convener of Admission Cell, said that a qualified and capable team is working in the admission cell for the convenience and counseling of the students.
