Student Competitions and Physiotherapy Camp Organised at World University in tribute to martyrdom of Chote Sahibzadas

Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University (SGGSWU), Fatehgarh Sahib organised student competitions and a Physiotherapy Camp to pay tribute to the martyrdom of Mata Gujri Ji and the Chote Sahibzadas.
The programmes witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and members of the sangat, reflecting the spirit of remembrance, service, and cultural learning.
Sharing details of the competition results, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Prit Pal Singh informed that in the Gurbani Shudh Uchaaran Competition, Harsimranpreet Singh from Seva Sangeet Academy, Mehta Chowk, Amritsar secured the first position, while Sukhjinder Singh of Government High School, Mojia, Mansa achieved the second position.
In the Dastarbandi Competition, Amritpal Singh of Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Khaloti, Ludhiana won the first position, whereas Harpreet Singh from Gurpreet Holy Heart, Mehal Kalan, Barnala secured the second position.
On the occasion, Dean Academic Affairs Prof. (Dr.) Sukhwinder Singh Billing expressed satisfaction over the active participation of students and the Sangat in the University’s commemorative programmes and thanked all participants for their enthusiastic involvement.
Dr. Hardev Singh, Dean, Faculty of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Studies, informed that speech and poetry recitation competitions for students will be organised the following day. He added that registration for these competitions will be conducted on the spot and the events will commence at 12 noon.
Subsequently, Dr. Nav Shagan Deep Kaur, Convenor, extended heartfelt gratitude to all faculty members, students, and members of the sangat for their cooperation and contribution towards the successful organisation of the events.

Alongside the competitions, the University also inaugurated Physiotherapy Camp, which received an overwhelming response. More than 200 people suffering from various health-related issues benefitted from the camp, reflecting the University’s commitment to community service and public health.
Among those present on the occasion were Dr. Ankdeep Kaur (Director, IQAC Cell), Jaspreet Kaur (University Public Relations Officer), Dr. Ramandeep Kaur (Head, Department of Political Science), Jagjit Singh (Deputy Registrar), Dr. Monica Iri, Dr. Amandeep Kaur Virk, Dr. Sarpreet Singh, Dr. Varinder Singh Bhullar (Head, Department of Education), Dr. Baljinder Singh (Department of Punjabi), Dr. Palvinder Kaur (Department of Religious Studies), Dr. Baljeet Kaur (Department of English), and Harpreet Singh Naaz, artist.
