Successful CME & Workshop on Suturing and Microvascular Anastomosis at AIIMS Bathinda

AIIMS Bathinda hosted a highly successful Continuing Medical Education (CME) event titled ‘CME & Workshop on Suturing and Microvascular Anastomosis.’
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from medical professionals and residents alike. Organized by the Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery at AIIMS Bathinda, headed by Dr. Altaf Mir, and led by Dr. Sarabjot Singh Anant, the event was a testament to the commitment of the institution towards enhancing medical education and practical skills.
The inauguration ceremony, graced by the presence of esteemed guests including Prof. DK Singh (Executive Director, AIIMS Bathinda), Prof. Rajiv Kumar (Medical Superintendent), Prof. Gitanjali (Dean Examination), and faculty members, marked the beginning of the event. Additionally, the presence of guest faculties Dr. Gaurav Chaturvedi from AIIMS Bhopal and Dr. Rahul Gorka from AIIMS Jammu added further prestige to the occasion.
The CME commenced with insightful lectures delivered by distinguished speakers. Dr. Sarabjot Singh shared expertise on the subject, followed by engaging presentations by Dr. Gaurav Chaturvedi and Dr. Rahul Gorka. Dr. Divakar Goyal, Assistant Professor in the Trauma and Emergency Surgery Division, provided valuable insights during his lecture. Following the lectures, participants actively engaged in hands-on workshops focusing on suturing and microvascular anastomosis.
With two stations dedicated to basic suturing techniques and three stations focusing on microvascular anastomosis, attendees had the opportunity to enhance their practical skills under expert guidance. The workshop, attended by junior residents of Surgical departments, provided a platform for learning and skill development. The event concluded on a high note, with participants expressing gratitude for the valuable learning experience.
