Summon to Bikram Majithia: Will he join DIG Patiala led SIT investigating drugs case or skip again? All eyes on his response

The Special Investigation Team (SIT), headed by DIG Patiala Range Harcharan Singh Bhullar has once again summoned shiromani akali dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia to appear before them at Police Lines, Patiala, on August 8,2024 at 10:00 am.
As per available information, the leader has been served a notice by SIT to appear and explain his position in the drugs case registered against him vide FIR No. 2, dated 20-12-2021 registered under Sections 25,27-A, 29 of NDPS Act 1985 at Police Station State Crime, SAS Nagar.
Last time SAD leader Majithia was summoned on July 30,2024. On that day Majithia didn’t turn up for investigation, citing court hearing at Chandigarh.
He had already skipped last few investigations and had accused Patiala police for deliberately summoning him on the day when his court hearing is scheduled.
When contacted Bikram Majithia on phone to know whether he has received the summons, is coming on August 8,2024 or have any court hearing on that day, as he is regularly accusing SIT for summoning him and stopping him to reach the honorable courts in order to sabotage recourse available to him in law ‘ his attendant said he is busy now and will call you later or in the morning’.
In his July 30,2024 reply to SIT, Majithia had said” “time and again willful efforts are being made to try and keep me away from courts in an attempt to make me suffer and adverse order, as the notice of the SIT dated 23-07-2024 was issued after the last hearing before CJM, Chandigarh dated 22-7-2024, when specific directions were issued by the court of the CJM, Chandigarh to remain present before the court .”

Whereas DIG Patiala range Harcharan Singh Bhullar who is heading the SIT had said on July 30,2024 that “ Bikram Majithia seems to willfully skipping the SIT summons on regular bases.”
