Talwandi Sabo Power Limited Wins AIMA CSR Project Excellence Award

TSPL was announced winner and bagged All India Management Association (AIMA) CSR Project Excellence Award 2022 in private sector category 1 for its CSR Project Navi Disha which aims at Promotion of Sustainable Agriculture. The award was announced at AIMA’s 9th Business responsibility Summit held virtually.
TSPL Navi Disha project in association with ‘The Nabha Foundation’ aims at promotion of sustainable agriculture practices with a strong membership base of over 1600 farmers from 26 villages in the vicinity helping them reduce input cost and improve farm produce. Setting up of farmers resource center with latest equipment and agriculture related information along with organizing several trainings and workshops on integrated Pest management and on optimized use of chemical fertilizers are being conducted for the farmers and concerted actions have resulted in considerable savings on input cost.
Expressing his gratitude on receiving the accolade Pankaj Sharma, COO, TSPL said, “We owe this recognition to all the farmers who are associated with the project Navi Disha and have put to practice the knowledgeand inputs shared with themfrom time to time. I am elated to note that knowledge repository at theFarmers Resource Centre and agriculture equipment is helping farmers in their agriculture endeavors. We stay committed to our mission to transform communities in the vicinity and shall continue to support farmers in all possible ways to help them increase their produce and profitability.”

Praising the TSPL Navi Disha initiative, Manjit Singh, a farmer from Moosa village said,“I am associated with Navi Disha project since 2017, project has immensely helped me adopt new techniques which in turn resulted in huge savings by reducing input cost. With the guidance from the project team, I also started practicing mulching, crop diversification& more. The team encouraged me to venture into intercropping, bed plantation etc. which has helped me make optimum utilization of water through the year.I am thankfulfor this wonderful initiative. These interventions are hugely beneficial for the entire farmer community.”
